Information for people who would like to take part

Figure holding up a survey

Would you like to tell us about your experiences and views about the Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews you went to in the last year?

Telling us your thoughts will help people understand the best way to run a C(E)TR.

We would like to hear from you if you are:

  • A person with a learning disability
  • An autistic person
  • A family member and/or carer
  • A Care (Education) and Treatment Review panel member, including if you are an expert by experience
  • A health, education, or social care professional, including if you are a paid or unpaid care professional.

If you would like to take part, we will send you an online survey.  This should take you no more than 30 minutes to complete.

We can help you take the survey if you would like this.

You can also tell us if you would like to take a different type of survey.

If you prefer, you can do a face-to-face interview with us instead of a survey.

People with moderate to severe learning disabilities

We would like people with moderate to severe learning disabilities to tell us about their experiences and opinions of the Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews that they have been to in the past year.

We understand that some people may not have capacity to consent to take part.  When this is the case, we aim to speak to a relative or friend of the person.  If that is not possible, we ask to speak with somebody who knows the person well like a paid carer. We ask that relatives, friends, and people like paid carers think about the wishes and interests of the person, including whether they would like to take part or not.

I want to be contacted

I want to be contacted to discuss whether someone I know with moderate to severe learning disabilities can take part.

I am a parent of an autistic child or a child with a learning disability

I want to sign up for my child to take part in the study.
